Active Listening

Active Listening

Lately I have noticed that many people are only half listening.  Either because they are not interested in what is being said, or they are busy and distracted.  Here’s the deal: Have enough love and respect for yourself and the other person to just say: “I am sorry but I am really distracted right now.  Unless this is urgent, could we talk later?”  In the end both parties will feel more satisfied.

“Today I will practice being an “active listener” and if I can’t be present to the conversation I will let the other person know.”
