Baby Steps

Baby Steps

We don’t look at baby and call them stupid because they can’t talk, walk, or feed themselves. We understand that they are new to this life and will have a long journey to being fully self-reliant.

So why do we beat ourselves up when we are learning a new skill? Why do we think we are supposed to know everything?

Usually because somewhere along our path older people made us feel bad for not being good at something.

“Today I will remember it is okay not to know, not to have mastered new skills yet, and I will take those baby steps with joy.”
