To love something is to appreciate it and feel connected to it. When we are angry, afraid, defensive, we are not coming from love, we feel disconnected and alone. In this moment, you are feeling what you are feeling and you can’t really feel anything different right away. Be angry, be mad, be disappointed, be afraid.
As soon as you can, realize you have become disconnected from love and STOP. Just stop. Take a deep breath, take another deep breath, and then be okay that you are feeling something unpleasant, and see if you can ask yourself “Why do I feel like this’? What am I protecting myself from?”
Meditation and sleep are two fantastic ways to re-align with your own positive energy because you stop focusing on what is bothering you and then you relax and let go. I call sleep “The Elixir of Life”.
