Joy

Here’s a little secret, there is no “getting there”. “There” is NOW! Right where you are, in this moment you have a choice, to choose love over fear, peace over chaos, joy over resentment. Waiting for all the conditions to be perfect to find joy is an exercise in more resentment. Because conditions will always be changing, always be a mixed bag of good stuff and bad stuff. The discipline is your second thought. The first one might knock you off your feet with a strong reaction, but you can take a breath, take a moment, and choose that second thought. One that comes from love for yourself and compassion for whatever has come into your experience that day.
