Darkness, what is it really but the absence of Light? My son, Max, wrote a haiku for school called “The Light and the Dark”. He says, “The light and the dark, each within one another.”
And this is true. We do not walk into a room and say, “Turn on the dark.” We say, “Turn on the light.” As our planet turns away from the Sun, we experience darkness. The Sun is still there, still shining, but we can’t see it anymore. This is so important to remember, the Light is ALWAYS there, but we can’t always see it.
The Light of awareness, love, compassion, and joy are there the moment you turn your attention to them.
“Today I will remember that the Light is always available to me and I will make the conscious choice to turn towards that Light and let it shine through me.”
