Joy is always present, it is our attitude that either allows us to share in the joyful things in the world around us, or closes us off from that joy, choosing to stay in our pain, resentment, bitterness. Who suffers most when we choose negativity? Us, of course! The object of our resentments usually has no idea how we feel and goes along quite nicely with their day. When our dominant intent is to live our lives joyfully, regardless of our challenges, seeking the smallest miracles of love and appreciation and amplifying those moments, we become masters of our lives, no longer puppets of our emotions. Joy is ALWAYS available to us but first we must accept that we deserve a joyful life and it is ours to create. The first step is admitting our attachment to our wounds and resentments and letting them go.
“Today I will take inventory of my resentments and justified anger so I can begin to let them go and choose Joy instead. It is MY choice to create a life of love, respect, and freedom from negativity.”
