I have said this before, so in light of the political situation in the US Presidential election, let me say this again. We take score too soon. By constantly checking the news, by reading EVERY little comment on Twitter or Facebook about a subject that is troubling us, we do not allow for the still, small voice of inspiration to be heard.
The constant bombardment of information and discussion of the negative comments only increases our sense of vulnerability. How will we ever find a solution to the questions in front of us when we don’t stop long enough to really get perspective of those questions?
Try this. For today, do NOT read the news. I mean it. You can visit with your friends online, but just do NOT read the news. See what happens. Then, knowing what you already know about the concerns in the world, ask to be inspired to information before you sleep. Don’t try to figure anything out, just ask that you be given guidance while you sleep. If you have a personal issue that is troubling you can ask about that instead. Einstein used to say that it was on his hikes through nature, observing the wonders of the organic world that he was most likely to have an inspired thought.
“Today, I will step back from all the information online and I will take a break. And then, before I sleep, I will ask the Universe to inspire me in my dreams.”
