Love First and the Artist Workshop
Learn to apply the Love First Principles to prepare for the audition, the meeting, the job by loving yourself, FIRST. Removing the need for approval or understanding, but offering your unique perspective of the work.
Overview
By practicing the principles of “Love First” you release the ego from its obsession for recognition, because the love and appreciation you start with is for you. And as you soothe your ego and provide for yourself all the approval you used to demand from others, the behaviors that you liked the least in yourself will disappear. This is not magic, but is based in the reality of how our world really works. By giving your attention to something, negatively or positively, you magnify, or give more power to that object. When you deliberately choose to focus on your positive aspects, and those aspects in others, your attention to the negative aspects softens. I am not talking about never disliking something, or having an opinion about a person, place, or thing. I am talking about discernment, observing what is, choosing what you would prefer, and then giving your attention to it, fully, letting whatever you don’t like fade away from neglect!
The Next Inspired Step
Many of us make our choices not from inspiration, but from obligation. We already have so much on our plates, so many demands for our time, that the idea of consciously achieving a new goal can be as overwhelming as it is exciting. And yet, that is the fundamental experience of being human, to want more, to take thought beyond, for our lives to matter, not just as part of a family, community, workplace or congregation, but as individuals. We are deciders before we become doers, and today, The Next Inspired Step Workshop is designed to help you decide, by first allowing yourself to have a desire, a vision for what you are wanting to create in your life, then, poke a stick at the fears that the desire brings up, and, from really looking at those fears, allowing them to inspire you to what you would prefer. In that place of then knowing what the positive or preferred aspects of your desire are, the final step is contemplating those aspects and allowing them to inspire you to the next right step.
